Mugla is a very popular town in the Southwestern part of Turkey, and it is also a name of a province that consists of the huge area by the Aegean coast. This town has become a tourist’s paradise due to its numerous caves and seashores. Tourists will find many world-class restaurants and hotels. Bodrum Castle: This is one of the major attractions in the town and the most important landmarks. The purpose of this six centuries old castle was to serve the military necessities of the Knights of Saint John. It is also known by as the Castle of Saint Peter. The castle was damaged by an earthquake and also by Alexander the Great when he occupied this area.
